DHS Trains Over 275K to Address Human Trafficking

The annual report highlights the department’s efforts, resulting in thousands of arrests and victim support.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released its third annual report from the Center for Countering Human Trafficking (CCHT), which reflects the training efforts that reached over 275,000 individuals. The training included aviation and transportation personnel, law enforcement, and nonprofits, helping them to identify and intervene in human trafficking.

“Human trafficking is more than a violation of law; the exploitation of vulnerable people is also a violation of our basic humanity,” said DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. “We are bringing the full weight of our Department’s resources to bear in our fight against this heinous crime, rescuing victims and holding perpetrators accountable. The work of our Center for Countering Human Trafficking brings all of us in the Department together with our partners in communities across the country and the world to achieve this critical mission.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Mayorkas to receive God’s direction as he heads the Homeland Security Department.
  • For DHS officials as they continue to educate transportation personnel and law officers regarding human trafficking interventions.
